Hungry Paws: Food Sort Jam for iPhone, and this website · Last updated 13 October 2026
The short version: Hungry Paws has no account and no server of ours. Your game progress stays on your iPhone. The free game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google may process device data to show and measure them; personalised ads only with your consent. Purchases are handled by Apple. This website uses no cookies and no analytics. We do not sell your personal data, and we send no marketing messages.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is Szirtes Dániel egyéni vállalkozó (a Hungarian sole proprietor; tax ID 69538711-2-43), registered seat 1116 Budapest, Tó utca 14., Hungary, email info@hungrypawsgame.com ("we", "us").
2. The Hungry Paws app
2.1 No account; your progress stays on your device
Hungry Paws never asks you to sign in. Your progress, stars, coins, helpers, lives, chefs, settings and the status of your purchases are stored in the app's storage on your iPhone. We do not receive them, and you do not have to give us any personal data to play. iOS includes this data in your device backups (iCloud Backup or your computer) as Apple handles them. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app.
To keep hard levels fair, the game notes on your device how your recent levels went (for example, how many tries a level took) and may offer an easier layout of a level you have tried several times. This information is used only on your iPhone; we never receive it. While the app is open it also keeps a short list of game events in memory (for example, which level was played) for troubleshooting; the list is not saved, and the app has no way of sending it to us.
2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Hungry Paws shows ads: a full-screen ad after some wins, a banner on the Chefs screen, and reward videos that you can choose to watch. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). To deliver, measure and protect ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK in the app processes:
- device and app information (device model, iOS version, language, app version);
- your IP address and an approximate location derived from it;
- advertising identifiers: Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, otherwise identifiers that cannot be used to track you across other companies' apps;
- information about the ads you see and tap, and diagnostic data.
Your choices. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app shows Google's consent form before any ads, where you decide whether Google may show you personalised ads. You can change your decision at any time in Settings → Privacy options in the app. On every device, iOS asks whether Hungry Paws may track you; if you choose Ask App Not to Track, the IDFA is not shared. Without consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use data for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
Legal bases: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised advertising and for storing or reading information on your device where consent is required; our legitimate interest in funding a free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention. Google acts as an independent controller for its own purposes; see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services. Google may work with its advertising partners (ad technology providers); the consent form, which follows the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework, lists them and lets you decide for each purpose.
If you buy No Ads, the app no longer shows full-screen or banner ads. The only ads left are the reward videos, and those play only when you tap to watch one in exchange for a reward, such as Extra Room, a life or extra coins.
2.3 Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple, which acts as the seller of record. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks your purchases on the device with Apple's StoreKit, and we receive only aggregated sales reports from Apple.
2.4 Content downloads and Apple services
If the app downloads further content as you progress (Apple's On-Demand Resources, for example the pictures and animations of places and guests you meet later), these requests go to Apple, not to us. If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us aggregated, non-identifying crash reports and usage statistics. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to these services.
2.5 Permissions
Hungry Paws does not use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or precise location, and it sends no notifications. The only permission it asks for is Apple's tracking prompt described above.
3. This website
hungrypawsgame.com is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and keeps short-lived server logs for security and abuse prevention. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Support email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the contents of your message to answer you. Mail sent to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare, Inc. to our mailbox; Cloudflare and our mailbox provider handle the messages on our behalf. We delete or anonymise support correspondence when it is no longer needed, at the latest 24 months after the case is closed. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Who receives data, transfers and retention
We do not sell personal data. The only companies involved are the ones named in this policy: Google (ads), Apple (purchases, content downloads and platform services), Vercel (this website) and our email providers. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it, or if it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If the Game is transferred to another company, that company takes over the commitments of this policy, and the change will be announced on this page.
Google and Vercel may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Data on your device stays until you delete the app. Google keeps advertising data according to its own policies; website logs are kept only briefly.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because we hold no data about your play, most requests are answered by the controls above: deleting the app, Privacy options, the iOS tracking setting, and Google's My Ad Center. For anything else, write to info@hungrypawsgame.com. We answer within one month, and we may ask for information that confirms the request comes from you. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu) or with the supervisory authority of your country (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
We make no decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. (The easier level layouts described in 2.1 are a game feature that never leaves your device.)
7. Children
Hungry Paws is a general-audience game made for adults; its App Store age rating is 13+. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to info@hungrypawsgame.com and we will delete it.
8. Security
Your game data stays on your iPhone, protected by iOS and your device passcode. This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and support messages are kept in a mailbox that only we can access. No way of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we take reasonable care of the little data we handle.
9. Information for US residents
Some US state privacy laws give their residents additional rights. In the terms of those laws: we do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Through Google's advertising SDK the app processes identifiers (the IP address and, if you allow tracking, the advertising identifier), internet or device activity (the ads you see and tap) and an approximate location derived from the IP address, to show and measure ads. Where personalised ads are shown, this may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under those laws. You can opt out at any time: choose Ask App Not to Track for Hungry Paws in the iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Tracking), and use Settings → Privacy options in the app where it is offered. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (in practice, your support emails) at info@hungrypawsgame.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
10. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
