Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Hungry Paws game for iPhone (the "Game"), the website at hungrypawsgame.com and related services (together, the "Services"). By downloading or playing the Game you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which these Terms supplement. Where the two differ on the licence itself, the Standard EULA prevails.

2. The Game and who can play

The Game is free to play. It is supported by ads and offers optional in-app purchases. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own, non-commercial entertainment on Apple devices you own or control, under the Standard EULA and these Terms.

The Game is made for adults; its App Store age rating is 13+. You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may play and make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

3. Ads

The free Game shows ads, including full-screen ads after some won levels, a banner on the Chefs screen and optional reward videos. Your advertising choices are described in the Privacy Policy. The No Ads purchase removes full-screen and banner ads; reward videos remain optional.

The ads come from third parties. We do not control or endorse the products, services or websites they advertise. If you follow an ad, your dealings are with that advertiser, under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. In-app purchases

• Seller and payment. Purchases are sold and charged by Apple through the App Store. Prices are shown in your storefront's currency, including any taxes Apple applies. Apple's Media Services Terms apply to the payment.
• Permanent purchases (No Ads, and the ad removal in the No Ads Bundle) stay tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices with Settings → Restore purchases.
• Consumable items (coin packs, bundles, the Special Offer and the Weekly Deal, and the coins, Extra Room and unlimited-lives time they contain) are used up in play. Because game progress is stored on your device, they cannot be restored if you delete the Game.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not receive your payment and therefore cannot refund it ourselves, but we will support any valid request.

5. Coins, helpers and other virtual items

Coins, stars, Extra Room helpers, lives, unlimited-lives time, chefs and other virtual items are licensed to you for use in the Game only. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and are not your property. We may adjust prices, rewards and game balance to keep the Game fair and fun. Reward videos and other free rewards may have daily limits and depend on an ad being available.

Your progress and your virtual items are stored only on your device. We cannot restore them or move them to another device if the Game is deleted or the device is lost; a backup of your device, as Apple handles it, may carry them over.

6. Internet connection and offline play

The Game needs an internet connection to start a level. A level that is already in progress can be finished without one, but reward videos are not available offline. If you bought No Ads, you can play offline anytime. Your mobile or internet provider may charge you for the data the Game uses, including any content it downloads.

7. Fair play

You may not cheat, use bots or modified versions of the Game, exploit bugs to obtain items, interfere with ads or purchases, or copy, decompile or reverse engineer the Game, except where the law allows it.

8. Content and intellectual property

The Game, its levels, pictures, characters (including the guests and the chefs), music, texts and design belong to us or our licensors. You may share screenshots and short videos of your own play for personal, non-commercial purposes.

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you. If you believe that something in the Game infringes your rights, write to info@hungrypawsgame.com with a description of your work and of the content concerned, and we will look into it promptly.

9. Right of withdrawal (EU and EEA consumers)

When you buy digital content in the Game, you ask for it to be delivered immediately and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun, as permitted by Directive 2011/83/EU and Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.). Your statutory rights for digital content that is faulty or not as described remain unaffected.

10. Updates and availability

We may update the Game, and add, change or remove levels, features, items and events, for example to fix errors, to keep the Game balanced and secure, to follow the law or the platform's rules, or to improve it. We do not guarantee that the Game or any feature will always be available. If a change has a more than minor negative effect on content you paid for, your statutory rights remain unaffected; for consumers in the EU these include the rights under Article 19 of Directive (EU) 2019/770.

11. Warranty and liability

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". This does not affect warranties that cannot be excluded under the law of your country; for consumers in the EU, the conformity rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770 remain unaffected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, including lost progress, or for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as outages of Apple's, Google's or your network provider's services), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Game in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Game at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these Terms and, if the breach can be remedied, do not remedy it within 14 days after notice. When your licence ends, your right to use the Game and its virtual items ends too; you are not entitled to a refund for them, except where the law requires one.

13. Complaints, governing law and disputes

If you have a complaint, write to info@hungrypawsgame.com; we answer written complaints within 30 days.

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013), Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.) and Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services, together with applicable EU consumer-protection rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts there. Consumers may also turn to a conciliation board; for our registered seat this is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület, bekeltet.bkik.hu).

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post changes here and update the date at the top; material changes will also be announced in the Game. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

15. General

These Terms and the Standard EULA are the whole agreement between you and us about the Game; the Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company, for example if the Game changes owner, provided that this does not reduce your rights; you may not transfer yours. These Terms are written in English.
